Mills, Long and King family Testimonial

22nd – 29th Dec. Mills, Long and King families, Suffolk.
Our second fantastic Christmas spent at Endmoor House ( 2012) We have had a wonderful week and to top it all off we had loads of snow on Boxing Day the children enjoyed every minute!

30th Dec – 5th Jan. Arold and Smith Families, Derby.
Fabulous time had by all! Great house – lots of space meant family and friends could come and go – loved it! Thank you x

Rakes Cottages 20th Dec 2014 – 3rd Jan 2015

20th-28th Dec. Margaret and Paul Roper, Hetfordshire.
Lovely cottage, warm and cosy for a Winter’s break. Appreciated the Christmas tree, fresh flowers etc. Had some lovely walks and good meals at The Bulls Head.

29th Dec – 3rd Jan. Richard and Gill Ford. Excellent all round. Our second visit to Endmoor Farm…..will definitely be back! Fab walks, pubs etc.

Rakes Cottage Reviews (July-September 2014)

12th July – Matthew,Karen Emma ( age 4) Ben ( age 2) Richards – Wimbledon . Thank you for a lovely stay. The enclosed garden was great for the kids. Things we enjoyed …Crich Tramway Museum, Matlock farm Park, heights of Abraham.

22nd August  – Liz, Paul Aysha and Isobelle Neville – Tamworth. We have had a fantastic stay. So comfortable and everything we needed. It’s a great place for a whole load of friends to be together.

30th August – Jo and Carl Williams – Solihull. What a wonderful place to stay! Beautifully done out cottages, so comfortable and great location. Had a fabulous time for my sister’s 50th birthday gathering. Would definitely come back.

13th Sept – Michael and Kathryn Hudson – Sidcup Kent – 2nd visit so must be good! Thank you! Weather good so we have worn ourselves out walking and cycling. Lovely to return to a nice comfortable cottage.

26th Sept. – Turners and Gibbs – Lovely location to explore Peak District. Bakewell just 10 minutes away. Chatsworth House good day trip. Lots of lovely walks for dogs. Fantastic cottage and dog friendly too! Fabulous holiday.

This historic pub is known as one of the best in the Peak District. Situated just off the Monsal Trail, the pub is surrounding by some of the most striking scenery that the peaks have to offer. Settle down by the open fire or savour the views in the sun, while enjoying real ales and tasty food, of which locally sourced. Wild boar, buffalo and venison can all be found on the expansive menu and changing specials board. A quirky tapas menu is also available.

Food is served Monday to Friday 12 till 3 and 6 till 9, Saturday 12-9 and Sunday 12-8. Bookings are always advised.

Situated in the heart of the peak district, joining the Monsal Trail one of the most spectacular leisure routes in Britain, the Hassop Station cafe was opened in 2010. The elegant old station building, complimented with a large sunny days, is perfect for sunny days and outside dining. The fully licensed cafe serves a large range of delicious homemade food, made with locally sourced products.

Breakfast is served every morning from 9am, offering a range from croissants to fruit salads. The cafe is open 7 days a week from 9am – 5pm.

Hassop Station is extremely child friendly and has disabled access, cloakroom and free wi-fi.
